Trying to make color choices more consistent

I only spotted the pattern while choosing a profile picture for work. A muted blue blouse looked natural, while camel tones seemed to overwhelm me. The effect nearly disappeared indoors and returned as soon as I stood near daylight. My team meets a new client soon, and I need one reliable combination. I can replace one or two pieces, but a full seasonal overhaul is unrealistic. Instead of ordering samples, I tested six tops beside a simple neutral background. I kept my face bare and prevented the camera from changing brightness automatically. My notes now suggest a neutral-cool range, and I used this color analysis test page to organize the possibilities. This is only a working theory, and I expect real fabrics to matter more. Next I will borrow fabric swatches in navy, berry, grey, and gentle white. I would rather identify reliable basics than debate a very specific subtype. Could someone suggest one simple daylight check using clothes already at home? I am curious whether anyone confirmed the pattern with more than one camera.
